This week's TWD recipe was Chocolate Gingerbread Cake. I made the cake and took it to one of my friends who recently had a baby. I also made one cupcake so Brandon and I could try it. I really liked this recipe. I LOVE ginger, but this was my first time to use fresh ginger.
I bet yours was really good. I did not put the ginger chunks in mine because I knew it would just be too much. I hope your friend is doing better and I bet they loved the cake!! Whoo Eeee. . I'm your first comment of the day!!!
Great strategic thinking to keep out a cupcake for yourself. I thought it was cool how the fresh ginger and sugar made a syrup - I'd never done that before either. Nancy

Looks terrific. I loved this recipe and I'm sad it's all gone. I'm sure your lucky friend enjoyed it.
I loved this one so much I had to give half of it away.
Nice cake! Can I be your friend?
