This week chose Chocolate Chocolate Cupcakes. I am a HUGE fan of cupcakes, so I was pretty pumped about this choice. If I could do any job and make money, I would open a cupcake bakery. I was very inspired by a recent trip to Portland, where I discovered Cupcake Jones. I got SIX cupcakes from there and loved all of them. They have different choices everyday. The cupcake that sounded the most interesting to me was the Rice Krispy Cupcake- It was vanilla cake with marshmallow filling, marshmallow butter-cream icing and rice krispies on top.
I LOVED the cupcake, but I didn't put the glaze on the one I ate because I don't like semi-sweet chocolate AT ALL and didn't think I would like it. The cake was amazing, though- My husband thought it was the best chocolate cake he's ever had!!

That rice krispies cupcake sounds pretty tasty - might have to try making it! And it's too funny that you couldn't remember which ones you filled, but don't worry because a number of people had that problem! Glad you liked them!
Your cupcakes look fun! :) I probably wouldn't have been able to tell which ones were filled either. How I miss Portland!
Wait, wait, wait. You meant to say "If I could do any job and make money, I'd be a bankruptcy lawyer." Right? I think I'd like the "surprise element" in not knowing whether mine was filled or not. Your cupcakes were GREAT!
Those look really tasty. Nice job!
My TWD baking almost always involves a couple of variations, so I'm always making notes on my baking parchment and segregating things on different ends of the cooling rack with post it notes on the counter. I wouldn't mind the surprise, but my husband is allergic to chocolate and one member of our book group doesn't like nuts in his baked goods. So I need to keep them straight...
Anyway, your cupcakes look good with and without the marshmallow filling. Yum! And the cupcakes made a huge hit at book club.
The cupcake bakery sounds like fun! Almost as much fun as bankruptcy law.

These look great! I did very well at the bake sale actually, much better than expected. Thanks for asking!! And the creamsicle cupcakes went very fast.
